Potestivo & Associates, P.C., is pleased to announce the hiring of Marc Wagman, who will serve as Supervising Bankruptcy Attorney in our Chicago office, and Cheryl Cook, who will serve as Supervising Bankruptcy Attorney in our Rochester office. Marc and Cheryl joined the team in October 2018.
Prior to joining our firm, Marc worked at a variety of law firms in the Chicago area, including his own private practice where his focus was creditors’ rights and consumer financial issues. Marc brings over fourteen years of bankruptcy experience in creditor and debtor representation, adversary lawsuits, examinations, and a plethora of motions and evidentiary hearings.
Marc is a member of the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar, and belongs to the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and DuPage County Bar Association.
Cheryl brings over 22 years of experience representing banks, lenders, and businesses in bankruptcy proceedings, commercial litigation, loan workouts and general creditors’ rights matters. By way of hard work and integrity, Cheryl has managed to develop good relationships with attorneys, trustees and courts while preserving collateral and achieving cost-effective resolutions on behalf of her clients.
Cheryl is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, American Bankruptcy Institution and Federal Bar Association (Eastern District).
Cheryl has taken a hands-on, active role in local communities by participating in Habitat for Humanity and various other home restoration activities in Oakland and Wayne County.
