Raquel Candelaria, Director of Human Resources

Raquel Candelaria joined Potestivo & Associates, P.C. in January 2018 and she is based in the Chicago, Illinois office. She serves as the firm’s Director of Human Resources. Prior to her current role, she was the Office Manager overseeing daily operations at the Chicago office.
Raquel brings over 20 years of experience with previous industry-related roles ranging from office management, executive assistant, human resources, office administration, and accounting. She earned her Business Administration at I.C.P.R. Junior College in Puerto Rico in 1988. Raquel then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a dual major in Management and Marketing at Northwood University in 2000. One of her biggest accomplishments to date was when she worked full-time during the day, attended school full-time at night, while also working part-time on the weekends in order to complete her bachelor degree debt free.
Raquel is an active member of her local community and passionate about assisting others. She spends much of her spare time helping those in the medical field. On the weekends she volunteers her time as a Registered Medical Assistant where not only does she use her bilingual skills as a translator but she also helps and fosters the elderly with their daily medical needs. In addition, Raquel also is a licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician.
