Danae Fonseca, Controller

Danae Fonseca started her career with Potestivo & Associates, P.C. in July 2017 as a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, she displayed a firm understanding of accounting principles and was quickly promoted to Accounting Manager. Through hard work and the development of a keen understanding of the firm’s overall financial health, she has now become the Controller for the firm. She is based in the Rochester, Michigan office.
Danae earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Havana University in Cuba. After working within the accounting field for a number of years, she decided to pursue her Master’s Degree to increase her knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance management. She currently attends Oakland University and is expected to graduate with her Master of Science in December of 2021.
Danae has consistently been recognized for her hard work and dedication to the firm. Her adaptability is one of her key strengths. The Accounting Department is a fast-paced department that requires financial prowess along with strong accountability and a willingness to adapt to ever-changing industry standards and requirements. Time and again, Danae has managed to show that she is capable of conquering any challenge that comes her way. Danae is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
