October 2009, Potestivo & Associates hires new associate attorney, Brian L. Groen who brings vast default servicing legal management  to the team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., October 22, 2009 - Potestivo & Associates, P.C., an award-winning legal services provider to the default servicing industry, is pleased to announce the hiring of a new associate attorney, Brian L. Groen.  Brian A. Potestivo, president and founder, made the announcement.  Brian Groen joins the firm’s growing Grand Rapids, Michigan office and will represent clients in default servicing, bankruptcy, litigation, and REO matters.

“We are fortunate to have Brian join our team and manage our Grand Rapids office,” said Brian Potestivo, “his experience in providing default management legal services will certainly make for a smooth transition.”

Prior to joining Potestivo & Associates, Brian Groen managed all aspects of Michigan referred cases from a national default servicing company at a Grand Rapids based firm, including judicial foreclosure, title claims, and the drafting and editing of various briefs on appeal to the Michigan Court of Appeals. 

Brian Groen earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Psychology from Grand Valley State University; he was awarded the Outstanding Student in Criminal Justice Award.  Brian Groen went to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  He is an active participant in the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Michigan.  Brian Groen currently resides in the Western Michigan area and enjoys raising two young daughters with his wife.
