Rochester Hills, Mich., April 28, 2008 - David G. Marowske, associate attorney, Potestivo & Associates, P.C. recently appeared on a local Michigan cable television show, 'Point of Law,' hosted by Cecil D. St. Pierre, Jr. to discuss foreclosure law; currently a poignant topic for the Southeast Michigan area.
During his discussions with St. Pierre, Marowske presented a general overview of foreclosure, including default proceedings, judicial foreclosure and foreclosure by advertisement, redemption periods, remedies and various tax consequences.
'It's extremely important that we continue to make homeowners aware of the myriad of property retention programs available for those that may be facing foreclosure,' states Marowske, 'programs such as 'Point of Law' provide us with a great opportunity to keep these lines of communication open between lenders and borrowers. The ultimate goal for all involved parties is to avoid foreclosure and find suitable arrangements to keep people in their homes.'
Marowske has been an attorney with Potestivo & Associates for over five years, managing the Litigation and Landlord Tenant departments. He frequently lectures in the areas of mortgage law and creditors rights, appearing as a guest speaker at many industry conferences and travels across the country to provide on-site client education seminars for various Mortgage Servicing and Lending clients.
